Welcome to Jesus Others You!     I didn't want this site to be just about the web master,  I want it to reflect the Master of the universe...God.    In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.  - Genesis 1:1.

Jesus calls us to love Him with all our heart, mind and soul.   We are to lavish our love upon him, as a sweet perfume.    To give praise, honor and glory, to Him that sits upon the throne.   He is high and lifted up.

We are called to love our neighbors.   This can be hard... I have failed in this department many times.  When I find it difficult to love my neighbor...I have to talk to my heavenly Father to ask Him to help me.   Its easy to love someone we admire.   Its even easier to give a gift to someone we know and love and trust...cause we probably will get a gift in return.    But what about the neighbor next door...or the elderly person.   Maybe there's a person struggling to make ends meet... or they just had a bad day or year.   Wouldn't it be nice to send over a card or brownies....just to let them know that they aren't alone.

This reminds me of a time when I used to make my own greeting cards.   I was already in the process of finishing a card for my aunt.   When I felt a strong leading from the Holy Spirit to give that card to my neighbor.   I remember telling the Lord, "But Lord, I want this for my aunt".   Again, I felt this tugging...like a small voice saying..."give this card to the woman next door".... so I did.   The woman, opened the envelope...gave a little smile...her eyes looked downward...she said, "how did you know that I was having a bad day?"  I remember smiling...and said, the Lord knew.    The woman was an elementary school teacher.  She spoke of a little boy that she and the other teachers hadn't seen in a long while, thinking he may have been out sick.   But she and the other teachers found out that this young boy had killed himself.                      Lets remember to say, hello to our neighbors...its a start.   Then when you are in prayer time, ask the Lord...if one of your neighbors need cheering.   You might be that bright spot in their day!

Okay, we talked about loving Jesus.   And loving our neighbor.   Now lets focus on the Y in Joy.    I take it to mean, that we are to put Jesus first, then reach out to others, then we come last of all.    Hmmm...  Does this mean we are to love ourselves?   Yes.  Are we to love ourselves so much that we crowd out Jesus?  No, I don't think so.  Its good to spend time alone...and with our families.   Just remember to spend some time with Jesus.
I know in my own Christian walk...I fail to go to God in prayer.  Then when life starts spinning outta control,...I'm usually "flying by the seat of my pants"...  I just know somethings not working right.   And duh...comes the answer.... Spend time with the Lord!!   If I had only thought of that in the first place.   Things wouldn't have been so bad.

He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.   Proverbs 28:27

I just want to say thank you for stopping by.   I'm not perfect by any means...only the LORD is perfect.    I hope that you'll want to stay a lil' longer and visit the rest of this site!   May the Lord bless you this day and everyday. :)
